The terms that apply when you use WL Tech services.
Who we are
WL Tech is operated by Christopher Welsh, based in the Scottish Borders, Scotland. These terms apply to all website audit and fix services provided by WL Tech.
Services
WL Tech provides automated website audits and one-off website fixes, covering performance, SEO, mobile usability, accessibility, legal basics and related improvements measured against current web standards. Services are delivered remotely unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Pricing and payment
The website audit is free. The Developer Report is $150, paid upfront by card via Stripe, and delivered to your email within minutes. Fix prices are listed on the pricing page, scoped and agreed up front; for fixes, payment is by bank transfer after work is completed unless otherwise agreed, with 7-day invoice terms. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged. We do not work on retainers.
Our guarantee
The website audit is free. If a fix we deliver does not meet the acceptance criteria agreed in your scope, we will revise it at no extra charge until it does.
Scope and deliverables
Each fix is delivered to the scope and acceptance criteria agreed in your quote. Work beyond that agreed scope will be quoted separately and only started once you approve it.
Liability
WL Tech will take reasonable care when providing services. However, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question.
Cancellation
Fixes are one-off engagements. Cancellation before work begins will receive a full refund. Once work has started, charges will apply for time already spent.
Refunds
The Developer Report is a digital product produced and delivered automatically within minutes of payment. By purchasing, you consent to this immediate delivery and acknowledge that under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you waive the 14-day right to cancel once the report has been delivered. If we fail to deliver the report, or it doesn't match what we describe on this site, email us within 7 days and we'll refund or re-deliver. For fixes, the cancellation terms above apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
